As a clinical psychologist, I work mostly with adults but I also see teenagers.
I offer psychological assessment and evidence-based treatments drawing on the most up-to-date research findings. I am trained in a variety of treatment approaches and all treatment is tailor-made to each client and delivered in an integrative, respectful and non-judgemental way.
Many of us at some stage in our lives will be affected by emotional problems, whether these are short-lived or more enduring.
Clinical psychologists are trained to help people either reduce or accept their emotional distress while helping them to enhance their psychological well-being. This is achieved by the psychologist working collaboratively to assist clients in understanding their difficulties more fully while increasing their
coping strategies, thereby enabling them to view themselves and others in a more positive way.

I offer 'case supervision' to trainee and qualified psychologists, counsellors, primary care mental health workers, nurse practitioners and other allied healthcare professionals.
Individual clinicians or organisations wishing to secure supervision for their employees may contact me for an informal discussion of their supervisory needs.
I am sometimes consulted about psychological issues within organisations and businesses and asked to offer psychological input either directly or by writing reports, preparing presentations or conducting research.
Previous clients have included local schools, colleges and statutory charities.
